At our house we make this acai smoothie recipe on the daily, and for us it’s simply the best.
Peanut butter, spinach, berries and of course sambazon acai combine
to make the ultimate acai smoothie.
How to Make the Best Acai Smoothie Recipe
Since this acai smoothie recipe is popular at our house, I realized that it would be
impossible to keep all of the ingredients on hand all of the time.
So, I started to freeze most of the ingredients or buy them already frozen.
I purchase Sambazon acai packets from Costco, as well as their frozen berries medley.
I also buy a large bag of spinach and then portion it out into small freezer bag.
This way, our acai packets, berries and spinach
are ready for our smoothie.
We make a variation of this smoothie almost daily. Sometimes we add banana
sometimes we add protein to our smoothies. When making the smoothie for kids
I usually add banana and skip the protein.
Another great addition to an acai protein smoothie would be collagen.

Should You Add Protein to Your Smoothie?
Most often I do add protein to my acai smoothie.
We alternate between two. The Isopure which is zero carb and keto friendly in
Cookies & Cream and the Orgain Protein Powder.
Protein certainly adds a bit more
sustenance, and it’s a good choice to add protein if you plan to only
have the smoothie as your breakfast.
However, adding protein isn’t necessary. Especially since we are adding
peanut butter—another great source of protein.
