What to dip in chocolate fondue

As I mentioned above, you have options but some of the most popular food choices for dipping are cookies, brownies, fresh fruit, rice crispy treats, pretzels, strawberries, and marshmallows.

You can also dip pineapple, bananas, cherries, graham crackers, and even crispy potato chips. (It might sound odd but it’s really, really good.)

This classic chocolate fondue recipe really tastes great with just about anything.

Keep in mind that you do have a short period of time after dipping your food items into chocolate that it will be wet. Pay attention and do your best to get off some of those chocolate drippings before moving it towards your plate or mouth.

You’ll save yourself a bunch of cleanup by doing your best with that.

One other fun tidbit of information is that if you dip your food item into the fondue and pull it out and wait about 15 seconds or so, you might be able to put it back in and get a double coat of chocolate! (It’s worth a shot!)

What can I use to make chocolate fondue?

Many people think that you can just melt chocolate chips and use them but that isn’t correct. Chocolate chips cannot actually be used in fondue so keep that in mind. (Save them for homemade cookies instead!)

You’ll want to use a good quality of chocolate to give it that rich flavor and taste. If you can use milk chocolate, that would be perfect for making it kid-friendly as well.

When you use your fondue pot, this recipe comes together in just seconds! It’s the perfect heat and width to cook it perfectly every single time.

If you don’t own your very own chocolate fondue set, now is the time to get one. They’re a great investment and you’ll use it literally all the time. You can even upgrade to a chocolate fountain machine that looks really cool and is certain to be quite the focal point as everyone stares at the giant chocolate fondue mounting. Make certain to have chocolate fondue dippers handy!
