This cherry rum and coke recipe is an easy twist on the classic cube libre cocktail. Refreshing, delicious and super easy to make.
Cube Libre with a Twist
Rum and Coke is my mom’s favorite drink. I can’t blame her. A classic Cuba Libre is hard to beat. Always refreshing and sweet, a perfect Spring night cocktail. Though you shouldn’t mess with perfection, I thought I’d give this classic cocktail a fun little twist, by adding cherries.
My variation can be made with fresh cherries, once they are in season. But it works perfectly with preserved cherries especially because we also use the juice. You could also simply use cherry coke, but where is the fun in that?

If you like a Cherry Coke, you will love this cocktail. Though, be warned. Something about this Rum and Coke combo will make you want to dance.
Sidenote: I love that Coca-Cola® created these mini cans, they’re such a perfect size for a midday pick me up, and they’re perfect for this cocktail, since one can makes 2 drinks.

- 4 oz of Bacardi Superior Rum (2 oz each drink)

Directions
Fill your glass with ice, or drop one of these fun large ice cubes in a glass ( makes an ordinary cocktail way more fancy, right?) Pour 2 oz of Bacardi Superior Rum in a highball or a rocks glass.
