This Early Spring Capsule wardrobe has everything you need to make comfortable and stylish outfits for this transitional weather.
There was a time when we were all desperately trying to look older, and now we all are trying to look young and stylish. It’s time to put away the ankle socks and tight denim jackets and get into a little bit of style, but with lots of comfort.
One of the things I love about current trends is that they are leaning towards comfort. After spending decades in heels and ultra tight tops and skinny jeans—it’s kind of nice to dress for comfort, and being in style while doing it.
I thought it would be fun share a few transitional weather must haves this season and talk about why these key pieces are perfect for spring capsule wardrobe.

Sneakers are still everywhere. Nike, new balance and believe it or not Adidas sambas are back. To look trendy this season toss your no show socks and invest in some ankle socks. This is a hard transition to make, mainly because we’ve been wearing no show socks for a decade…. but I promise once you slowly transition into a nice pair of socks your ankles will thank you. So cozy.
If you’re not into sneakers with every outfit, loafers and ballet flats are a great option. I’ve tried these Everlane ballet flats and they’re extremely soft Italian leather and are true to size. A great shoe option for Spring ( and fall).
I don’t believe you have to spend a ton of money on denim. I love H&M jeans as well as Abercrombie jeans. Instead, order a few styles and sizes to get the right size for you. 90s High rise straight jeans by Abecrombie are my favorite at the moment. I’ve compared them to Agolde and honestly there really isn’t much of a difference.

This is my favorite way to add a stylish twist to an otherwise plain or dare I say boring outfit. A blazer, a moto jacket or a denim jacket are all great for this transitional weather as well as the classic trench. However, what you have in your closet might feel outdated if it is fitted.
The current look is oversized. If your denim jacket is fitted or cropped it might be time to part with it or at least put in the back of your closet. To look stylish this season, invest in a denim shirt jacket like this one.
Little gold necklaces, especially small gold hoops are everywhere. I recently purchased these inexpensive huggies and I’ve been wearing them nonstop. Super lightweight and pair easily with everything.
I recently did a round up of small handbags for spring, and I’ve been loving totes again. This one is a splurge but helps elevate a basic outfit.
