Vacation Outfits —Everything I packed for Spring Break

A roundup of easy, comfortable  and stylish vacation outfits from day to night. Perfect for Spring break and beyond.

Now that Fernando is in school, we are learning to navigate our vacation schedules by his school breaks. Which is how we decided on a last minute trip to Hawaii. It was incredibly crowded, but we still had an amazing time. I posted a little reel highlight of our trip on Instragram.

Would you believe that I only purchased one new item for our Spring Break vacation? Turns out, I had a closet full of vacation outfits that were perfect for our week in Hawaii. So I thought I’d share them with you here, because not only are these few items great for resort style and vacation , but they’re also perfect for your Spring wardrobe.

Pool-Side Style

It’s been quite a while since I purchased a new bathing suit. I’ve been wearing this one for a few years. Even during my pregnancy, I ordered this exact suit in a bigger size. Then I randomly came across this suit, and decided to try it on. I was super impressed with how comfortable it was and for under $40.

This white button down has been one of my favorite beach cover up purchases, it’s versatile and perfect for when you need to go from the pool or beach to lunch or shopping.

The hat is an investment, but since I never go to the beach or pool without a hat, I thought it was worth the price tag. It looks incredibly chic and makes you look instantly put together. If you’re looking for a more budget friendly option, I love this one.

I don’t want to admit how many heels I packed with me for our vacation with a 1 and 6 year old. But, I can confidently report that I did wear heels out on two of the four nights. I got these woven mules in both black and nude and they are incredibly comfortable. I love how they look with denim and dresses.  A perfect mom-friendly, comfortable heel.

This ASTR the Label dress has been my most worn dress. It’s perfect paired with flats or even white sneakers for day time and it’s great for evenings too. The slit is a little high, but I find that it’s still looks quite presentable. Definitely one of my favorite maxi dress purchases to date.

I ordered this wrap dress for our family photos. You will not believe its current price (!) and in my opinion it looks a lot more expensive.

Bag Lady

My straw bag was a thrifted find from many years ago, and it’s still going strong, but this Target one is almost identical. It’s perfect for daytime and fits everything you need for the pool or the beach.

For kid toys and other kid items I got this tote from Amazon last year, and it’s been holding up wonderfully, plus it’s easy to pack and carry as an extra beach bag as needed.

I was all set to sell my Gucci Marmont until this vacation. It was the perfect bag to bring to carry from day to night and the airport. I wear it as a crossbody and it fits all of my essentials easily. If you’re on the market for a versatile designer bag that you can use as everyday but also take out at night, I really think this one is perfect.

A Note on Skincare

Obviously a lot of sunscreen use goes without saying, but I also find that on vacation it’s too hot for full makeup and instead I opt for  bb or cc creams. I took my Elta MD tinted sunscreen and it was perfect for a little extra glow at night. I’m on my third bottle of this product and highly recommend. At home, I mix it with a little bit of my Estee Lauder foundation and it creates a wonderful glow and gives perfect coverage.

Honorable mention also goes to Tan Luxe self-tanner. It was perfect to get my skin ready for all the sun and gave me a natural glow. I used it sparingly.
