Currently coveting: Chambray shirt

Last year, I suffered a serious (fashion) disaster. My chambray shirt ripped. I can’t really complain, since I did get significant wear out of it, (I may have rocked it at least 2x a week for the last three years, without any shame), so I couldn’t even be that upset, but it only took me a day to realize, I would have to immediately replace it. A few weeks ago, I finally found the perfect chambray shirt, and as I keep building my capsule wardrobe, I knew I wouldn’t survive fall without it.

Currently coveting? More like forever lusting after …

I can’t even remember a time when we weren’t all wearing chambray shirts. They’ve been an all season fashion staple for at least the last few years— and when my favorite shirt was gone, I understood why.

They have the ability to dress up any outfit, or instead make a look more casual. They work when you’re feeling sluggish and just want a loose top to feel comfortable in, or when you’re feeling stylish and want to put on a chunky statement necklace. White jeans, maxi skirts, tied or accessorized as a jacket or layered under a sweater, chambray shirts are the new LBD.
