Winter White

Something about wearing a white coat in the winter makes me feel the most put together. Even when I’m wearing a basic black sweater, jeans and a pump. It’s so regal and wintery white, that it immediately feels dressy, without even trying.

I’ve been on the hunt for a few peacoats this season, after realizing that the last peacoat I purchased is about 10 years old.  It’s a classic, double breasted black peacoat. It  goes to my mid calves, has slight flair on the bottom and a belt. It’s the kind of coat one has forever. I’m still not sick of it, and when the weather is right and I’m heading out, it’s still the one that I reach for. Which is how I started to think about adding a few more to the mix. It’s a wise investment, since the last one lasted for so long.

So I decided to go with a winter white peacoat, and I love the black buttons and the raised collar of this one. I also recently purchased a red peacoat, which I am totally obsessed with. I found it at a local BB Dakota sample sale, and it’s similar to this one.

I’m still on the hunt for the perfect camel peacoat, to round up my peacoat collection forever. I’ve had my eye on this one from H&M.
