Date night style

We had a very exciting date night in LA, [ read about it here] and I have to admit,  part of what really motivated me to sit in rush hour traffic to go to dinner, was this new skirt I scored at a BB Dakota sample sale, (and of course spending time with my husband.)

But seriously, I live for that sample sale, which they have every few months, at their warehouse down the street from my house.

My favorite part about this  date night style is that I was actually comfortable. I’ve broken in the heels many moons ago, so walking a few city blocks wasn’t a problem, the blouse fit was loose so I didn’t have to fidget with it all night,  and the mini, although was a little on the short side, was wide enough in the hips to walk with a purpose—city style.

I paired my new mini skirt with a Forever 21 blouse, and my dominatrix(y) heels— not an official name— just what I call these Cynthia Rowley’s I got so long ago, I might as well call them vintage.

I added a cheapy Forever 21 clutch because it had the gold details, to match the heels and bring out the gold thread in the mini skirt.
