We had a very exciting date night in LA, [ read about it here] and I have to admit, part of what really motivated me to sit in rush hour traffic to go to dinner, was this new skirt I scored at a BB Dakota sample sale, (and of course spending time with my husband.)
But seriously, I live for that sample sale, which they have every few months, at their warehouse down the street from my house.
My favorite part about this date night style is that I was actually comfortable. I’ve broken in the heels many moons ago, so walking a few city blocks wasn’t a problem, the blouse fit was loose so I didn’t have to fidget with it all night, and the mini, although was a little on the short side, was wide enough in the hips to walk with a purpose—city style.
I paired my new mini skirt with a Forever 21 blouse, and my dominatrix(y) heels— not an official name— just what I call these Cynthia Rowley’s I got so long ago, I might as well call them vintage.
I added a cheapy Forever 21 clutch because it had the gold details, to match the heels and bring out the gold thread in the mini skirt.
besos,
Alina

[…] Here is the thing, when you marry a city girl and move her to a small beach town, you have to make sure she swaps her foot flops out for strappy heels on the reg, or said city girl will not be so easy going and chill. [ You can find out what I wore on our special date here.] […]
You are stylish Alina!! Wish I had a fraction of your style
