Crock Pot Pork Carnitas Tacos

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 lbs pork shoulder/ or tenderloin
  • 1 tbsp

    lime juice

  • 2 tsp

    coarse sea salt

  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp

    chili powder 

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Garnish for Tacos
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 1/2 cup chopped raw onion
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • 2 avocado, slided
  • 3 radish, sliced

Method
 

  1. Place the meat  in the slow cooker. Add all the other ingredients to the slow cooker and mix thoroughly to coat the meat with all the herbs and spices.
  2. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or on low for 6-8 hours. When tender, shred the meat by pulling it apart with a fork.
  3. Serve pork carnitas on warm corn tortillas and top with onions, cilantro, lime juice and any other toppings you desire.
