Thyme Vodka Lemonade Recipe
This vodka thyme lemonade recipe is so refreshing, and is such a crowd pleaser. The thyme really adds a beautiful earthiness and gives a simple lemonade a fun twist.
- 2 oz vodka ( you could also use gin)
- 1 oz thyme infused simple syrup
- 2 oz lemonade
To Make Thyme Simple Syrup
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2-3 sprigs of thyme
- 4 lemons
First, we start by infusing the thyme and making a simple syrup for the vodka cocktail.
Heat 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Once the water is boiling, remove from the stove top.
Add 1/2 a cup of sugar to the water, stirring quickly until the sugar is dissolved.
The liquid should have a syrupy consistency.
Squeeze all of the lemons into the syrup extracting as much liquid as possible. Then add the thyme sprigs. Cover the mixture and let it cool.
To Make the Vodka Lemonade Cocktail
Fill a collins glass with ice, add the vodka, simple syrup and top with lemonade.
Stir gently and serve with a wedge of lemon and a sprig of thyme.
