The Ultimate Fondue Dinner Party Recipe

The most delicious fondue and some unique dippers make for the ultimate fondue dinner

  • 1/3 lb gruyere
  • 1/3 lb  fontina
  • 1/3 lb  gouda
  • 2 tbs cornstarch
  • 1 cup dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 2 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp  fresh lemon juice 
  • 1 tbsp  brandy 
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard 
  • 1/8 tsp  nutmeg


  • roasted baby potatoes  
  • roasted cauliflower florets 
  • roasted Brussels sprouts
  • Cherry tomatoes 
  • 2 lb steak tips
  • 1 apples, cubed
  • 1 lb sausage, sliced
  • sourdough bread, cubed
  • 1/2 lbs grilled shrimp


  • Grate all of the cheeses.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cheeses with the cornstarch, tossing thoroughly to coat all pieces.
  • In a large heavy saucepan, bring the wine, garlic, and lemon juice to a simmer over medium-low heat.
  • Add the cheeses to the liquid mixture a little at a time, stirring between each addition to ensure a smooth fondue. Once smooth, stir in the brandy, mustard, and nutmeg.
  • Arrange an assortment of bite-size dipping foods on a platter. If necessary, carefully pour the fondue into a fondue pot. Dip and enjoy!
