Favorite Things From March

wedges, spring outfit

It’s been a few months busy months around here. Mostly, adjusting to life with a toddler, who with each day is becoming more and more independent. Meanwhile, I’m realizing there is no safe zone in our entire house. So far we had a broken vase, spilled everything and everywhere, a broken plate and eaten more dirt than I’d like to admit. Nap time have been our battle ground too. Anyway, that’s mom life. I’ve got way more exciting things to tell you about than just #momlife stuff. Read for a round-up of my favorite things from March ( or February), but who is really counting?!

beauty, skin care, hydration mask
Beauty

My sister-in-law giften this Laneige water mask to me and my mom over Christmas. If you think I’m a skeptic and hard to please when it comes to beauty products, you should meet my mom. It must be the Russian in us, but our typical approach to trying new things goes something like, “this probably sucks, but I’ll give it a whirl.” We are both working on being more open and positive, I swear it.

So we tried the mask together, and the next morning both of us noticed a huge difference. Seriously, the next day I saw a difference in my skin. It was glowing, it felt moisturized and plump. We looked like we got hours of sleep in a luxurious hotel, except we didn’t. Because you know. Baby.

The best part is that it’s only $30 bucks, and you can get it on Amazon. I didn’t notice a dramatic difference the next day, but when using it every other day, I really do see the results of hydration. I put it on every other night before bed. It seeps into the skin pretty quickly and all you have to do is wash your face in the morning, as you would normally. No peeling or plucking. If you try it, I’d love to hear about it!

Home

If you follow me on instagram stories, you may have noticed that I’ve been experimenting with my crock pot. I was very anti-crockpot before and felt that the dishes that I made lacked flavor. But, lately I’ve tried to embrace the convenience of throwing everything in a slow-cooker while baby FLO takes his morning nap, and having dinner ready that night. The consistency of the meat and veggies also happens to be perfect for the baby—so everyone has been enjoying these meals. I’ve been working my way through several recipes, but for now here are the two I’ve made more than once, and we all loved. This short rib Sunday sauce recipe is delicious, and this classic pot roast is super easy recipe to follow and comes out perfect every time.

steve madden wedges

Style

A few weeks back, I told you guys this was definitely the wedge of the season, and then shared a dupe. BUT, have I got news for you! I found an even cheaper dupe at DSW from Steve Madden. These beauties are under $60, and super comfortable and go with everything, from jeans to dresses. Mine are in taupe, but I’m really digging all the colors.  I’m really excited about these, can you tell?

In other news, I love hearing from you guys! If you’ve sent an email recently please know I’m working on responding to all of them, or if there are questions you have please don’t hesitate to ask, I’m pretty open and happy to share.

Besos,

Alina
