Are Acai Smoothies Healthy?

The key ingredient in this smoothie are the acai berries and they are packed with antioxidants that help combat stress and inflammation in the body. Acai berries are also a abundant source of essential vitamins, such as vitamin A, C, and E, contributing to a strengthened immune system and promoting overall well-being.

Acai smoothies are also a great source of dietary fiber, aiding in digestion and promoting a feeling of fullness, which can be beneficial for those looking to manage their weight.

Furthermore, acai smoothies often include a variety of other nutritious ingredients, such as fruits, vegetables, and plant-based proteins, enhancing their nutritional value. How to Make the Best Acai Smoothie Recipe

Peanut butter, spinach, berries and of course sambazon acai combine to make the ultimate acai smoothie. Since this acai smoothie recipe is popular at our house, I realized that it would be impossible to keep all of the ingredients on hand all of the time. So, I started to freeze most of the ingredients or buy them already frozen.

I actually prefer to use frozen berries, spinach and banana as it helps make this protein packed smoothie cold, and thus better tasting. And I don’t have to water it down with ice.

I purchase Sambazon acai packets from Amazon, as well as their frozen berries medley. I also buy a large bag of spinach and then portion it out into small freezer bags.

This way, our acai packets, berries and spinach are ready for our smoothie.

What Liquid is Best to Make Acai Smoothie?

We prefer non-dairy milk options for our smoothies. Most often we use Coconut Milk or Almond Milk. I find both of these non-dairy options compliment the ingredients well.

However, you can use any liquid that you like. Whole milk, yogurt or even water can help break down the berries, banana and acai into a smooth and creamy consistency.

What Else Can You Add To Your Smoothie?

We make a variation of this smoothie almost daily. I also always add a banana and  protein to our smoothies. I find that this protein is the best tasting low carb protein on the market. We prefer the Dutch Chocolate flavor.

Another great addition to an acai protein smoothie would be collagen.

My husband is a big fan of chia seeds in his smoothie and also flaxseeds.

Protein certainly adds a bit more sustenance, and it’s a good choice to add protein if you plan to only have the smoothie as your breakfast.

However, adding protein isn’t necessary. Especially since we are adding peanut butter, another great source of protein.
